Use the Consumer Handbook to stay informed

(NC)—Learning how to be a wise consumer is one of the smartest things you can do you for yourself and your family, especially nowadays when we seem to be saturated with marketing messages 24/7. Whether it's choosing affordable housing, protecting yourself from fraud, learning how to find the right cellphone or how to deal with collection agencies, the need to be an informed consumer has never been more important. The Consumer Measures Committee, a group of federal, provincial and territorial representatives responsible for consumer affairs, has produced the Canadian Consumer Handbook which is available at www.ConsumerInformation.ca to make it easy for Canadian families to make informed consumer decisions.
